WASHINGTON--Residents of Room 617 in Fulbright Hall came to the conclusion on Thursday Night that something exciting was occurring in neighboring Room 616, apparently.
“I was playing Fallout 4 when I heard a huge number of laser muskets firing at the same time. Then I realized it was some EDM from next door,” said sophomore Daniel Smith. “Our neighbors must be doing something exciting, but I’ll just get back to playing Fallout.”
The three roommates were intrigued by the development of a fun time next door, but not surprised. “On a couple Sunday mornings I’ve see one of the guys next door stumble onto the elevator when I get back from sunrise Mass,” said junior Eddie DeAngelis. “He looked so bad I had to give him a “Hail Mary” or two. So it isn’t surprising that on a Thursday they get, as the kids say, ‘lit’,” DeAngelis added with air quotes, for some reason.
“I guess we could go over there, but I still don’t know any of their names,” said sophomore Aidan Weiss, considering the possibility of taking advantage of the situation and doing something exciting on a Thursday for once.
“It’s always good to meet people, I guess,” Weiss considered, though he found the appeal for having fun lacking. “Not to mention the fact that I would have to put on pants, which I’m not feeling,” he added, clad only in briefs and a “Deez Nuts for President” t-shirt.
However, not to be outdone by their neighbors, the young men of Fulbright 617 were planning an exciting night of their own on Friday.
“Our two friends are coming over to play Civ 5 with us tomorrow night, which should be great since Ed finally got some the DLCs,” said Smith. “It should be a fair fight, since last time I was Germany and ended up getting to a big naval war with Russia around what is Southeast Asia, and I…”
Mr. Smith continued with his account of the virtual war, but the Ax reporter stopped listening.
