Travel Tips: Hoboken, New Jersey Set to be Year’s Hottest Travel Destination!

HOBOKEN, NJ - Sporting this spring’s hottest destinations isn’t an easy job, but this year the Mile Square City is happy to have that honor!

Who among us can forget the fun times had in epicenter of Hudson County last year? The Ax’s travel correspondent decided to find out why students have always loved the below average metropolis so dearly.

“I don’t see why you wouldn’t want to go to Hoboken It has all of the glamour of Manhattan with none of that pesky hustle and/or bustle!” Senior Gloria Munderplatz explained, having already enjoyed the wonderment Hoboken can offer for spring break.

“There is just so much to do! There’s the 11th Street clock, the Hoboken Greyhound Station, the Hoboken Fire Department. I honestly don’t see how anyone could get bored.”

So you’ve already undoubtedly booked your bus ticket to Hoboken. But what do you do when you get there? Don’t worry, reader. We’ve got you covered!

Hoboken offers a variety of cultural events, including the local improvised comedy troupe “Chuckle Me Silly,” the rat circus on 15th Street, and the world famous “Hoboken Diddlers” string quartet. Anyone who visits this beautiful city of 50,000 should be sure try a bite of the local gourmet specialities, such as a hunk of nondescript meat covered in gristle. Yummy!

Of course it wouldn’t be a trip to the place Baseball was created if you didn’t partake in the city’s number one pastime - staring longingly at the Manhattan skyline and wishing you were anywhere else but Hoboken! The Ax can also heartily recommend getting stabbed at the Greyhound station over a $5 bill.

No matter where the travel season finds you in the Mile Square City, be sure to treat your trip to Hoboken with the class and dignity that lesser New Jersey deserves. Have fun!
