After Meeting with CEOs, Bernie Sanders Announces He Loves the Banks in Dry, Flat Cadence

WASHINGTON - Beloved Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders has changed his tune, reversing his famous negative opinion on the millionaires and billionaires that run Wall Street after a short meeting with some of them in their Manhattan offices.

“The Banks,” he said, dead behind the eyes, “are good. Yes. I love the banks.”

Famously, on the campaign trail and throughout his career Sanders has been a voice against big money influencing politics, but now he seems to have had a change of heart.

After being asked by a reporter from the New York Post why he’s had such a stark reversal, Sanders appeared visibly confused, but still resumed his expressionless monotone to state, “What do you mean - I have always loved the banks. The banks are my friend.”

He waved and walked off, holding hands with the CEO of JP Morgan Chase while smiling.

The meeting was a surprise; though Sanders has always spoken out against them, the banks took it upon themselves to meet Sanders in the back of a black van after hitting him over head with a mallet, where he discussed the economy with the businessmen and a team of famous hypnotists.
