Hamptons Girl Still Waiting on University to Send Someone to Clean Her Dorm

WASHINGTON - Local sophomore and Shenkman Hall resident, Jackie Campbell, is still waiting on George Washington University to send a member of the Housing staff to clean her room.

“Like, I thought that when they didn’t send someone last year it was just a mistake. Daddy said just to wait, and if they didn’t send a maid then he would like pay for someone else to come,” Campbell said.

After spending the majority of her father’s semesterly stipend on new clothes, Campbell’s room has become extremely cluttered. She claimed that she would bring some of the clothes back to her vacation home in the Hamptons, as well as bring some of the clothes back to her primary home in Greenwich, Connecticut.

Campbell and her sorority sisters have created a petition in sparkly pink ink in order to pressure the University into cleaning her room for her. So far it has reached a total of three signatures, but it is expected to double in the number of signatures over the next 24 hours, reaching a grand total of six signatures.

“I had no idea that there was a petition like this circulating the school. Oh - you said she’s a Hamptons girl? Well then that makes sense, just give her a scratch-and-sniff sticker or something to distract her for a little bit, she’ll forget about it soon,” said Nancy Haaga, Managing Director of Campus Support Services.

While the University does expect this to blow over, they are also carefully monitoring developments in this situation, as the Campbell family accounts for over 15% of the total alumni donations to the school annually.
