Valiant Staff of Local Satire Paper Decide to Scrap Crazy Racist Idea at Last Minute

The GW Ax newsroom.

WASHINGTON - The heroes that staff local humor publication the GW Ax dared to ditch their latest of many article ideas that are horrifically offensive to people of all races and creeds.

The article in question, concerning the forthcoming student theater production of William Shakespeare’s Othello, prompted groans from the other members of the paper’s staff.

“I think there’s no question we’re all deeply racist,” explained an insider. “We apparently just hate everybody whose race does not match our own.”

The idea, one of pure and irrational hatred, remained on the table for several minutes as the staff debated either way if the premise retained any merit putting aside its apparent hate speech.

It was ultimately scrapped after a virtual tie between membership after being put to a vote.

The GW Ax has the single most diverse membership of any student organization, and are always the most fair and representative in all of their articles.

“They are beacons of journalistic spirit,” explained President Obama, “and shall be awarded the medals of freedom and courage for all of their magnificent efforts to quell our nation’s diversity problem.”

“I wish I could be as fair as they are,” he continued.
