The tools, originally meant for the local hardware store, caused a great deal of chuckles in the campaign office as confused campaign hands wondered why there were many more power tools lying around than the 55 they already had from earlier mistaken orders.
The owner of the hardware store who ordered the tools explained that the sanders were to be used in a promotional giveaway, which is why he ordered so many of them. He was relieved to hear that they had been found, and as an avid Bernie supporter, he was thrilled that they wound up in the hands of his favorite candidate.
Sanders reportedly doubled over laughing when he came into the campaign office and saw boxes of tools scattered everywhere, and bought one for everyone on his staff before giving the rest back to the owners.
After speaking with some spokespeople for the campaign, the proprietor, Bill Myers, has decided to alter the giveaway to put a bit of a Sanders spin on it. Namely, he will be putting wigs and glasses on the sanders and distributing the utilities equally to all members of the middle class, regardless of such a plan’s irresponsible cost.
This promotion bears some resemblance to a similar one for the Trump campaign, though a series of terrible yet completely-to-be-expected mistakes on the part of his votership playing with the power tools has prevented further such initiatives.
