Oscar Season Coming Up, As Is Sweet Embrace of Death

HOLLYWOOD - It’s an exciting time in Tinseltown, because the awards are being smelted as we speak in preparation for an awards season we are all sure to remember, or possibly not, as memories, such as all things in life, are fleeting and shall, like a dying star, eventually flare up and die forever.

This coming week is an especially exciting one; Steven Spielberg returns to the big screen with Bridge of Spies, a firecracker espionage drama with the true historical story of people who have by now mercifully been freed from this mortal coil.

Steve Jobs is also coming to multiplexes in the DC area this coming weekend, as too should the Grim Reaper hopefully come and take us onto the next plane of existence.

Later in the season we have The Revenant which, disappointingly enough, does not refer to the viewing audience, as we would so desperately like to become such a ghostly wraith sooner rather than later.

That’s not all, as Joy is also coming, but the only joy the audience can really expect comes in the form of finally leaving this godforsaken planet once and for all.

Quentin Tarantino brings us The Hateful Eight, a murder-mystery sure to tantalize the audience with the possibility of the delight of their own lives being taken once and for all.

Carol should also be good, Cate Blanchett is amazing, she deserves every award.
