HOLLYWOOD – A new promo has aired revealing a new show with Jane Lynch solving crimes or something but maybe she’s also an angel we’re not entirely sure.
An exasperated viewing audience does not quite understand why Jane Lynch has a new show, still under the belief she was still on that singing one, but apparently that show ended earlier this year so the networks felt that Jane Lynch was such a huge deal that she just needed to have another show and it had to be immediately they apparently just could not wait for more of her.
The show, which is called Pennies from Heaven or something like that (it definitely involves some terrible heaven pun), sees Jane Lynch as an angel, or somebody working with an angel we’re not entirely sure, but it does definitely involve an angel, and Jane Lynch seems poised to break out of any type casting and play a sassy yet sarcastic, strong female woman who wears pantsuits.
The premise seems especially ludicrous given that there is another show coming on a different network about the devil deciding to solve crimes. I mean, Christ, seriously, what is happening, we thought this was supposed to be a golden age of television?
God, and Kevin Pollak’s in it too? This man was in Casino, for goodness’ sake. Vintage Scorsese! And now he’s stuck playing third banana to the lady who just spent six years straight wearing a tracksuit like she’s Ben Stiller in The Royal Tenenbaums.
The show (which somebody has to be looking forward to, right?) will air on a network on a weeknight probably starting this month though don’t hold us to the details.
